Todd grew up in Southwestern Oklahoma punching cows and hauling hay. As a young kid he found an untitled cassette tape- on one side someone had recorded Johnny Cash's Live at Folsom Prison, the other side featured various Ennio Morricone spaghetti western scores; thus began his diverse listening habits.
At 17, he started playing in the local honky tonks alongside older, seasoned musicians who taught him the language of country music.
He's worked as a sideman for artists as diverse as R&B's The Coasters and Nashville's Ty England. Since 14 years old, he hoped one day to play with either Hag or Johnny Lee-he's marked one of those off the list now.
