Matt Harelik - keys/vocals

Biography

Matt Harelik started his career in Hamilton, Texas, at the ripe old age of 14.... when his band “Texas Gold” was offered the opportunity to play a back yard party the country sheriff was throwing. The 4 members got $10 each, and free beer (true story)......and not much has changed today!

Matt hails from a talented, 5 piece, central texas family that produced a piano playing actor, a bass playing piano man with a steel guitar, and a girl with a real job.

Matt has been making his living playing country music for just about 20 years now, and his credits include: Gary Stewart, Ty England, Aaron Watson, and a host of regional acts throughout Texas and Oklahoma. Matt originally came to the Urban Cowboy Band with drummer Rocky Caron in 2002, and re-joined again in 2009, after taking some time off to make a few really bad career decisions.

In Matt’s own words: “I’d rather hate this job than any other job I can think of!.... seriously folks....It’s an honor to play with the man whose music has been on all of my setlists from day one. I love these guys, and I love this music..... and I hope it goes on forever!”
